This printer is just what I was looking for – it is a simple straight to the point printer. It doesn’t scan or fax, it does what it says – it prints. This is really easy to use and to maintain, it prints out very quickly, the prints are a nice quality and it is totally hassle free. I’ve owned this printer for around 6 months and I’ve had no problems, there have been no paper jams and the ink also lasts a really long time. Usually you won’t believe the claims of how many pages can be printed from one cartridge, but this printer really surprised me. I managed to print out over 1,500 black and white pages on the one cartridge and the prints were decent quality, with crisp, clear text and no ink smudges. When you have to replace the toner, then you come to find that it is reasonably priced and that it is also very easy to replace. The design is simple and straight forward – from getting it out of the box and setting it up, to using it and changing cartridges, it really is a breeze.

This printer is very fast. In under 30 seconds you can power up the printer and have a printed document. Most printers seem to take ages to power up, but this is nice and fast. When the printer goes to ‘sleep’ it is quiet, yet it wakes up very quickly without the usual warm up wait that comes with most printers once they are in ‘sleep’ mode. When this is printing it is fairly loud, but I’ll take that any day, when you have something that prints so quickly, at such a good quality.

The duplex feature means that you can print double-sided with no effort at all. This saves paper and also speeds up the printing of multiple page documents. It is also so much easier than manually turning the pages over to print double sided – there’s no more trial and error to get both sides printed the right way up, this printer does it all for you.

The best value, speed and performance laser printer I’ve used. I work in IT and I have to deal with personal laser printers all the time. So I know what a good printer is about. This printer does the job and does it fast. Highly recommend. Read Original Review

Douglas Mashkow,
This printer ROCKS! I tried to replace my old dependable (but only 7 PPM) HP 1100 with the 1006, and got two that didn’t work. This one’s built much better than the 1006 and the 28 PPM is mind blowing after years of 7 PPM. Read Original Review

I bought this printer about 3 months ago and I’ve been using it quite a lot, mainly for scanning and printing. I’m pleased with my purchase – this is a very good printer that also scans, copies and faxes. It prints and copies at a very good quality, it works efficiently – it prints relatively fast and your ink seems to go a long way. I haven’t had to replace any of the cartridges yet.

The printer was a snap to set up. I got it out the box and connected it right away. I followed the installation process on the computer and it was all set up and ready go in about 10 minutes in all. No messing around, fiddling with various settings or anything like that, it was a very simple process that even the technophobes would have no worries with.

The quality of the printer is very good. It has several settings for various qualities of printing, but even on the draft setting it prints out a very nice quality and this is the setting that I use. There prints do not smudge, both photos and text are very clear and crisp. When printing on the draft setting documents print out very fast. I have tested at the best quality and although the time it takes to print increases it is still relatively fast.

The scan feature is essay to use, the quality is very good and it scans fast. It’s much better than previous scanners that I’ve used, which have been painstakingly slow. Copying works well too, it is fast and the copies are good quality.

kpk,
It’s true! The Canon MS-410 Wireless printer is easy to set up and get started! I was in need of a multifunctional printer to include a fax and wireless features. After quite a bit of research, I found this one to be just right for my needs. The one thing I’ve not figured out is how the printer goes into sleep mode. The blue lights are very bright 24/7! Otherwise, I’m very satisfied with the product. I’m especially happy with the wireless feature which works perfectly! Read Original Review

Jay,
This is my first wireless printer it works great on my windows vista laptop. And on my Mac mini. The setup was easy. The setup program said you needed to connect a network cable to set up the wireless connectivity I did not know what they ment so I called canon and they said the network cable the program was talking about was really the USB cable it came with. They should have said connect the USB cable it would have been easer to under stand I hope this helps some people out when they go to buy this printer. This printer prints great in color and in black. I could not have asked for a better printer for the price. Read Original Review

Brother MFCJ615w Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax – Fast and Economical

Brother MFCJ615w Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax
Brother MFCJ615w Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax

This Brother printer is quiet, very fast and it is economical – ink goes a long way, and energy efficient – when the printer is in sleep mode it doesn’t stay warm, it seems as though its off. The printer has a small footprint, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space on my overcrowded desk and it looks nice too.

Setting up the printer was a snap. The instructions and manual that came with it were easy to follow. Setting up wireless so I could access the printer from all the different computers in my house was simple – I followed the display prompts and had everything set up in no time at all.

The fax feature is a nice addition. I hardly ever send a fax, but on the odd occasion I do need to and it’s simple to do. I like the fact that as well as standard faxing, you can also fax any document directly from your computer. All you do is go into the print options, choose the Brother printer and select ‘send fax’, here you type in the fax number and the fax is sent. That saves the need to print out the document and scan it into the memory before faxing!

The printer has a ‘save ink mode’, where it prints pretty much in gray-tone, rather than black. This makes your ink go a lot further. When you want to photocopy something that’s not just for your own use I’d recommend turning off the ‘save ink mode’, otherwise your photocopies will look faded, which is fine for research but not ideal if you’re making a stack of posters to put up.

The print and copy quality is very good. Text is crisp and clear and images are sharp. This printer will also scan and you can chose to send your scans to your computer or straight to a memory stick. The printer will also print photos directly from your digital camera or a USB pen.

This printer prints out great quality photos and documents. It prints fast and it’s relatively quiet. The scanner is also brilliant and so is the copying facility. Installing the printer was a breeze, it took no time at all and I’ve been printing wirelessly from the two different desk tops and our laptop with no problems at all. Technology as it should be – easy, fast and it does exactly what you want.

Printing black text comes out very well. I’d say it’s not quite as well as laser printing, but not too far off. Printing in grey scale is good and colour printing is really accurate. Using the high quality settings when printing photos gives you some very good prints. I really am very pleased with the overall print quality.

Copying on this all in one is good. It copies fast and quietly. Black text documents copy clearly and color copying matches the colors well. Something that I’ve found is that if you’re copying a grey document then you get a much better copy if you select the color option, rather than the black and white – I’m not sure why this is, I guess all equipment has it’s own little quirks and this is the one for this machine. It’s nothing major and grey will still print ok choosing black and white, but choosing color will give you the edge. If you’re copying documents for your own use then the standard quality setting is fine but if you’re printing for work or advertising then use the high quality setting.

Scanning gives you good results. I’ve scanned in documents and also color photographs. Both text documents and photos are scanned in at a very good quality. I’ve scanned in a series of color photos which I’ve used to make a collage and got printed out as a large poster print and they came out exceptionally good quality, especially considering some of these photos were 25 years old!

This printer is extremely well engineered. The control console is both beautiful and functional. I was able to hook up both my desktop (Ethernet) and laptop (wireless) using the “Easy Install” CD within minutes. Scanning is simple, copying is fully adjustable, and the photos are top notch. It’s well worth the money. Read Original Review

This printer is pretty easy to set up, it prints brilliant quality photos and documents, it’s an excellent scanner and it’s neat for faxing too. You can connect to the printer wirelessly, so you can use the one printer from a whole bunch of computers. You can also print photos from your cell. The printer also accepts SD cards and you can connect your camera directly to the printer.

The scanner is remarkably good quality, very clear and sharp, with accurate colors and the selling point for me is that the scanner does auto-duplex scanning! This is the only printer in this price bracket that will scan auto-duplex and standalone scanners that offered this feature are so expensive. The auto-duplex scanning works really well – I can put a pile of two sided documents in the scanner, press the button and leave them to it and they’ll be scanned in perfectly and saved as PDF documents. The photocopier feature is very good too, the copies are so clear and detailed that they actually look like the originals. I have never had any problems using the fax feature either.

The printing can be a bit slow if you’re using a network connection that isn’t very juicy, but you can always switch to wired and connect the printer via USB (cable not included) which will speed it up, if your networks running slow.

Fully-integrated 35-sheet auto duplex document feeder for rapid document copying, scanning and faxing

The Pixma MX882 is easily one of the best printers I have ever owned. It was extremely simple to setup and share on my network. What a breath of fresh air!!! I used a Lexmark all in one printer for years and it finally wore my patience out!! This printer is so much easier to use. Once it’s set up, you can do everything right from your computer. No more running back and forth between your computer and printer. The print quality is outstanding as well. We run a greeting card business and this exceeds our needs. The styling is beautiful! Very sleek and compact. Doesn’t take away from the surroundings in the room. The multi function keypad is really cool. Very easy to understand. Read Original Review

You can print amazing photos using this printer – they print very fast (about ten seconds) and are really really good quality. The colour is amazing and the photos are detailed, with good contrast. The photos are clear with no smudges or marks and they’re also water and fade resistant.

As expected with a printer bought these days you can print wirelessly, from any room in the house. Some machines are hard to set up, but this printer was straightforward to connect to my Wi-Fi network. Once set up the printer can be controlled from any computer in the house. I have the printer set up to my Mac and also to a PC and both work fine. The printer also houses USB and SD card ports on its front, so you don’t actually need a computer turned on to print. The USB port also doubles up as a charger, which is very useful!

As well as printing photos, the Artisan printer can also print directly onto CD or DVDs. This took a little fiddling about but I soon got the hang of it. It means I can make my band CDs look much more professional than they have in the past. Printing directly onto the CD instead of onto CD labels, looks way better!

Ultra Hi-Definition prints from the world’s fastest 4″ x 6″ photo printer
Built-in wireless and Ethernet networking: print, scan, and access memory card slots3 from any room in the house
One-of-a-kind projects – easily create coloring books, personal note paper, invitations and greeting cards using your own photos
Results ready to share – lab quality photos are smudge, scratch, water and fade resistant

Tanya Bowers,
No one has given a review for this product yet, I am shocked. This is by far the best and fastest printer that I’ve ever used. I’ve just upgraded from an HP printer and the differences are night and day. One word of advice though, if you want the best prints for your money invest in a color calibrator and use the profile for printing don’t rely on your printer all of the time. I give this product 5 out of 5 stars it does what it says it does, it’s fast and the prints are amazing. Read Original Review

3G’s,
This printer is the best I’ve ever owned. I print art work on card stock and water color paper and the results are incredible. Photos printed on regular plain paper come out exceptionally good. I like the individual ink color cartridges, too. Scan produces crisp images, although I liked my lexmark software better the quality of the prints on the epson is so far superior. My Overall Review: 4.1 out of 5 stars

Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer
Canon PIXMA iP100 Mobile Photo Printer

This prints out good quality documents, I use it when I’m travelling to print out maps and documents and its brilliant. When I’m at home I often use it whilst I’m in the living room, it’s easier and quicker than traipsing upstairs to my study if I’m surfing the net whilst watching TV and want to print something. It takes no time at all to set up and is very easy to use.

This small portable printer looks good. It has a silver matte finish and black glossy sides and paper trays. It measures 2.4 inches tall, 7.2 deep and 12.7 inches wide. The only negative thing I have to say is that this printer doesn’t come with a case, so remember to buy one separately to make transporting it easier and safer. Having said that, the printer is pretty tough.

The printer has an infrared port so you can connect to mobile phones, it also has a USB port and a port to connect your digital camera. If you want to print wirelessly from a computer you’ll need to buy a Bluetooth adaptor, or you could do what I do and copy whatever you want to print onto a usb and slot this into the printer. I guess it depends how often you’re printing – as I only print a few documents every now and then whilst on the move, using the USB feature is no problem for me.

The paper tray holds 50 sheets of paper. It prints using ChromoLife cartridges, which seem to last a long time. I’ve had the printer for nearing 6 months and I’ve yet to change the cartridges. This is partly thanks to the Save Black Ink and Use Composite settings. The first reduces the amount of black ink used in text and images and the second makes up a black from the other cartridges when the black ink has been used up.

If you want to buy this printer it is currently on sale at Amazon through this link.

Jon C Dake,
I purchased this as a travel printer as I go out of town a lot and sometimes need to create documents while sitting out in the hall in the courthouse. This printer fits in my case with my laptop and produces sharp, crisp copies at a very quick printing rate. For me this thing has paid for itself already. I don’t know how I ever got along without it. If you need a small, truly portable and battery operated printer this is certainly the one to buy. Read Original Review

Kerri,
I bought this printer for my husband who needs it for printing reports on the run. The prints are quick, crisp, and clear. The setup was easy and connecting it to our laptop was no problem. We’re using a cord to connect both pieces so I can’t comment on the wireless feature.
All in all a great machine for the price and it fits into such a small space, the laptop, printer and all the cables fit into one briefcase. Read Original Review
